Enrich Alerts with ServiceNow Data

You can use the ServiceNow Enrichment Workflow Engine with the the ServiceNow Enrichment Integration in Moogsoft Enterprise to add information from ServiceNow to your alerts.

Before you begin

Before you start the tutorial on enrichment, read through the topic Prepare to Enrich. It covers how you define your goals for enrichment. In this example, you want to use your ServiceNow to add hardware physical location and support group information to alerts to meet your operators' requirements.

To walk through the enrichment process:

  1. Analyze Your ServiceNow Data. Gather information about your ServiceNow system such as connection details and credentials. Moogsoft Enterprise comes with a default configuration for common ServiceNow data to use for enrichment.

  2. Configure the ServiceNow Enrichment Integration Supply the connection information for ServiceNow. You can view and optionally modify the default table definitions for ServiceNow.

  3. Create a Workflow to Forward to ServiceNow Enrichment Set up a workflow in the Enrichment Workflow Engine to forward alerts to the ServiceNow Enrichment Workflow Engine.

  4. Create a ServiceNow Enrichment Workflow. Set up a workflow in the ServiceNow Enrichment Workflow Engine to trigger the ServiceNow Enrichment integration.
