ServiceNow Enrichment

You can use this integration to query ServiceNow tables to include additional information within an alert. Moogsoft Enterprise can then use this information to:

  • Assist with clustering alerts in Situations.

  • Determine routing of alerts and Situations.

  • Reduce Situation resolution time.

When you configure the ServiceNow Enrichment integration, Moogsoft Enterprise automatically creates the 'ServiceNow Enrichment' Workflow Engine. To process alerts, you must define separate workflows to forward alerts to this Workflow Engine and process them. See Enrich Alerts with ServiceNow Data for more information.

Before You Begin

Before you start to set up your integration, ensure you have met the following requirements:

For this page you will only be configuring the connection information and the base URL.

  • Note the URL of your ServiceNow incident management instance.

  • Note the Username and Password that has API access to ServiceNow. This user must have the cmdb_read role. You can optionally set Web service access only.

  • Verify that Moogsoft Enterprise can communicate with ServiceNow over port 443.

Configure the ServiceNow Enrichment Integration

To configure the ServiceNow Enrichment integration, provide a unique integration name. You can use the default name or customize the name according to your needs.

After you complete the ServiceNow Enrichment configuration, you can configure an enrichment workflow to forward the alert data for further processing. See Enrich Alerts with ServiceNow Data for more information.
