Catalina Browser Certificate Workaround

After upgrading macOS to Catalina, the Moogsoft AIOps UI is inaccessible in Chromium-based browsers (Chrome, Safari, Edge) because self-signed certificates are no longer trusted.

To solve the problem complete these steps either before or after you upgrade to Catalina.

  1. Open your browser (Chrome, Safari or Edge) and attempt to access the Moogsoft AIOps UI. If you have already upgraded to Catalina you will see an error message similar to "Your connection is not private" and you will not be able to proceed to the UI.

  2. Click the "Not Secure" warning in the browser address bar and select Certificate (Invalid) from the drop-down menu. Drag the certificate onto your desktop.

  3. Open the saved certificate. If a dialog box appears, add the certificate to the Login keychain.

  4. Open Utilities > Keychain Access on your Mac and open the new certificate. Expand the Trust configuration and select When using this certificate: Always Trust. Close and save.

  5. Refresh your browser and log into the Moogsoft AIOps UI.

  6. Repeat steps 1-5 on any machine on which you want to access the Moogsoft AIOps UI.
