Build a Service Provider Metadata File

You must build a Service Provider (SP) metadata file in order to configure SAML-based Single Sign-On with Moogsoft AIOps.

The SP metadata .xml file contains all of the keys, services and URLs defining the SAML endpoints. You can use your IdP's SP metadata file generator if it has one. If not you can create the file manually.

To manually create your SP metadata file:

Copy the .xml template from the code block:

Configure the mandatory elements in the metadata file:
- entityID: Unique identifier or name for the SP. This should be a URL or a URN.
- AssertionConsumerService: URL or endpoint that receives SAML responses from the IdP.
Add the X509 self-signed certificate you create when you configure your IdP.

Save the SP metadata file to a path on your local machine.

After you have created the metadata file, you must copy it to your Moogsoft AIOps machine to continue with the SAML configuration. See Configure Single Sign-On with SAML.
