Observe Polling

Note

Moogsoft is currently offering Moogsoft Observe in a limited public Beta. Contact your Moogsoft account representative for more information. See Moogsoft Observe Releases for Observe documentation.

The Moogsoft Observe Polling integration periodically polls Moogsoft Observe for events and retrieves them for Moogsoft AIOps. It uses HTTPS with JWT authentication.

Refer to the Observe Polling LAM Reference to see the integration's default properties. When you use the integrations UI, you can only configure the visible properties.

If you want to implement a more complex Observe Polling LAM with custom settings, see Configure the Observe Polling LAM .

See the Observe documentation for details on Observe components.

Before You Begin

Before you set up your Observe Polling integration, ensure you have met the following requirements:

  • Access the Observe UI and go to Integrations > Moogsoft AIOps . Copy the following details:
    • Event Endpoint
    • JWT Bearer Token
  • The port for your Observe server is open and accessible from Moogsoft AIOps.

Configure the Observe Polling Integration

Configure the Observe Polling integration in Moogsoft AIOps as follows:

  1. Navigate to the Integrations tab.
  2. Click Moogsoft Observe (Polling) in the Monitoring section.
  3. Provide a unique integration name. You can use the default name or customize the name according to your needs.
  4. Enter the Event Endpoint and JWT Bearer Token from your Observe system.

  5. Modify the timing intervals if required.

See the Observe Polling LAM Reference for a full description of all properties.

Configure Observe

You do not need to perform any integration-specific steps on your Observe system.

After you complete the Observe Polling integration, it polls Observe at regular intervals to collect event data (every 60 seconds by default).
