You can install the HP Network Node Manager (NNMi) integration to collect event data from one or more HP NNMi systems. The integration polls your HP NNMi system for new data every 60 seconds. It uses HTTP/HTTPS with basic user credentials to authenticate with HP NNMi.

See the HP NNMi documentation for details on HP NNMi components.

Before You Begin

The HP NNMi integration has been validated with HP NNMi v10.2. Before you start to set up your integration, ensure you have met the following requirements for each HP NNMi system:

  • You have the URL of HP NNMi webservice.
  • You have credentials to connect to the HP NNMi server.
  • The port for your HP NNMi server is open and accessible from this host.
  • Your HP NNMi system is able to accept HTTP/HTTPS requests.

Optional properties are available. You can:

  • Set the origin or source of the incidents.
  • Configure the maximum number of incidents that Moogsoft AIOps can fetch in each poll.
  • A request interval and retry interval time in seconds. Defaults to 60 seconds.

See Configure the HP NNMi LAM for advanced configuration information.

Configure the HP NNMi Integration

Configure the HP NNMi integration in Moogsoft AIOps as follows:

  1. Navigate to the Integrations tab.
  2. Click HP NNMi in the Monitoring section.
  3. Follow the instructions to create an integration name.

Configure HP NNMi

You do not need to perform any integration-specific steps on your HP NNMi systems.

After you complete the HP NNMi integration, it polls the HP NNMi servers at regular intervals to collect event data (every 60 seconds by default).

If the integration fails to connect to one or more HP NNMi sources, Moogsoft AIOps creates an alert and writes the details to the process log. Refer to the Logging details for LAMs and integrations for more information.
