Empty Moolet Reference

This is a reference for the Empty Moolet .

You can change the behavior of the Empty Moolet by editing the configuration properties in the $MOOGSOFT_HOME/config/moolets/alert_manager.conf configuration file, or you can create a new Empty Moolet configuration file in the $MOOGSOFT_HOME/config/moolets directory.

The configuration file contains the following properties:

name : Name of the Empty Moolet.

Default : "AlertMgr"

classname : Empty Moolet class name. Do not change.

Default : "CEmptyMoolet"

run_on_startup : Determines whether the Empty Moolet runs when Moogsoft AIOps starts. By default, it is set t o false , so it does not start when Moogfarmd starts. You can change this property to true so that, when Moogfarmd starts, it automatically creates an instance of the Empty Moolet.

metric_path_moolet : Determines whether or not Moogsoft AIOps factors the Empty Moolet into the Event Processing metric for Self Monitoring .

moobot : Specifies a JavaScript file found in $MOOGSOFT_HOME/moobots , which defines the Empty Moolet Moobot.

Default : "AlertMgr.js"

standalone_moolet : Whether the Empty Moolet is a standalone process or whether it is a component within the alert processing workflow.

Default : true

event_handlers : Specifies the alert events that the Empty Moolet processes.

Default : [ “AlertClose”, “AlertUpdate”, “Alert” ]

process_output_of : Defines the input source for the Empty Moolet. This determines the Empty Moolet's place in the alert processing workflow.
