Configuring SSL in HP OMi

To configure SSL:
  1. Navigate to the HP OMi bin directory, the directory is /opt/HP/BSM/bin
  2. Run the following command to get the alias name

./opr-cert-mgmt.sh ‑export "OMi Webserver CA Certificate" PEM "ca_certificate.crt"

    Note

The above command exports the public key of the HP OMi server in the certificate ca_certificate.crt

  3. Create a keystore using the following command. After executing the command, enter the desired password and information for keystore, when prompted.

keytool -genkey -alias <aliasName> -keyalg RSA -keystore keystore.jks -keysize 2048

    Note

Use the desired alias name. Tt should be different from the alias name used in the above step

  4. Enter the following command to import the ca_certificate.crt certificate in the keystore created above.

keytool -import -alias hpomi -file ca_certificate.crt -keystore keystore.jks

    Note

After executing the command, when prompted for the password, enter the same password used for creating the keystore.jks file

  5. Copy the certificate keystore.jks , and paste it into a directory on the machine where the HP OMi LAM is running.
  6. Enter the path where the keystore.jks is copied, and its passwords, in the hpomi_lam.conf config file.

The SSL is configured for HP OMi to communicate with the HP OMi LAM.
